Pericarp- The wall of a ripened ovary (fruit) that is homogeneous in some genera and in others is composed of three distinct layers, exocarp, mesocarp, and endocarp.

pericarp The fruit wall; derived from the ovary wall.
pericycle A root tissue giving rise to branch roots.
permeability The rate at which water moves through the soil.

(Gr. a, not; chainein, to gape) any small, dry fruit with one seed whose outer covering (pericarp) does not burst when ripe.acicular search for term- a. (L. acicula, a small needle) slender and pointed; needle-like and with a sharp point.

Drupe - "stone fruit", a simple fruit produced from a single carpel, usually one-seeded, with an outer fleshy layer of tissue called the pericarp and an inner, heavy stony layer called the endocarp .
