When a grain of pollen becomes attached to the stigma, one of its two cells stimulates the creation of a pollen tube that grows inside the style, creating a path between the stigma and the flower's ovary.

If compatible with the stigma, the pollen grain germinates; that is, the tube cell forms a pollen tube that grows down the style and into the ovary. Next, the generative cell divides to form two nonmotile male gametes called sperm cells.

BORON
Boron affects the absorption of other nutrients. It also affects the germination of the pollen tube once the pollen grains land on the stigma. Without germination, the seeds are not fertilized and fruits abort.
BORON - DEFICIENCY ...

Micropyle- A minute opening in the integument of an ovule through which the pollen tube normally passes to reach the embryo sac, usually closed in the mature seed to form a superficial scar.

Pollen-Dust-like male bodies capable of fertilization of ovules. Each pollen grain contains two cells: the vegetative cell, from which the pollen tube develops and the generative cell, which produces sperm.

When a pollinator deposits the pollinia from one flower to another flower's stigma, the pollen tubes extend down to the ovary in a day or two and fertilize the flower.
