Every garden needs pollinators and bees are among the best. Without them there would be limited flowers and even fewer fruits and vegetables.

Plant for pollinators
Butterflies, bees, hummingbirds and moths play an essential role in our gardens. They pollinate the flowers we enjoy and our kitchen gardens filled with tomatoes, cucumbers and peppers.
Apples also need pollinators—certain wasps, flies, and bees—to transfer pollen from one variety to the other. The apple trees must be planted within 100 feet of each other in order to help ensure that the pollinators visit both trees.
Bees are beneficial pollinators and control for them is discouraged. Honeybees and bumblebees work blooming flowers and may cross paths with people. Typically bees are not aggressive unless an unwary gardener grasps them.
Flower colours have developed to attract the appropriate species of pollinators, which can be birds, bees, spiders, animals or insects. Once the pollinator finds the flower, a little bit of sexual hanky-panky takes place.
Plants either have all the parts to pollinate themselves, (called self-pollinators) or they are aided in accomplishing this by insects, the wind, or human intervention (cross-pollinators).
Parsley (as well as Dill and Fennel) is also a wonderful choice for attracting one of nature's pollinators, the Black Swallowtail Butterfly, to your vegetable and herb garden.
Unlike honeybees they are native to the region and are extremely important pollinators of many native plants, perhaps being most obvious at alpine elevations.
They are not self pollinators like the Japanese apple trees. I self pollinated my apple tree this year by getting branches from the nursery I purchased it from. I did buy a second tree but it is young and the blossoms will not come until next year.
Simply put, this means that even the most industrious bee (bees are the chief pollinators of apple trees) can't persuade two trees of the same variety to bear fruit. So, to grow apples you usually need two trees of different varieties.
The strip comes into full glory from early summer through fall, when showy flowers and herbs attract songbirds, butterflies, bumblebees, and other pollinators.
The whip and tongue graft is very useful for adding new varieties or pollinators to established trees, as well as grafting one or two year old seedlings with named fruiting varieties.

Cosmos flowers are ideal for a butterfly or bird garden and are a natural companion for vegetables in organic gardens as they attract these pollinators. They make superb cut flowers and look right at home growing randomly in wildflower gardens.
Please don't do anything because these bees are beneficial as pollinators and the damage is usually just cosmetic.

Honey bees are the main pollinators of fruit blossom but bees work best at temperatures of 15 C (60 F) and above, so if possible plant new trees where they will be sheltered from the wind.
Commonly a Granny Smith apple is used as a cross-pollinator however most varieties with do if they flower at the same time.

Have you ever noticed the tiny purplish-black floweret in the center of the otherwise white flower? The black floweret is sterile and will not produce seed. It is not known why nature put it there, perhaps to attract pollinators.
