A rogue zucchini the size of a watermelon began a cherished holiday gift-giving tradition. It started many years ago, during a visit from a big city friend who comes by for "farm days" to chat and help me with garden chores on my two acres.

I suppose this year isn't any different, it's just that I'm feeding a family of squirrels instead of one rogue squirrel so the damage is greater. And since this group have clearly found Eden, they aren't planning on leaving anytime soon.

It is hard to find a full range of hand tools made in America, although several small manufacturers exist that make a single specialty product, such as Rogue brand hoes made from recycled agricultural equipment disc blades.

Seeds were of consistently high quality at a time when good gardening practices--such as using soil amendments and rogueing (pulling out undesirable seedlings)--were not widely understood, and seed quality was unreliable.

Remove diseased plant tissue and rogue out chronically infected plants.
Clean up and remove dead plant foliage at the end of the growing season.
Reduce plant stress through proper watering and soil care. Improve drainage to reduce root diseases.

We had long enjoyed pots of annuals and perennials on our deck, so now, with everything rogued out of the bed, we began placing our odd assortment of leftovers and weird favorites in the area to absorb the early spring sunlight.

Rogue out any weak ones. Your goal is quality, not quantity. Finally, so that the beans or peas will have time to mature into the highest quality seeds, wait until the bean pods are brown and the peas are rattling dry in their pods.

Potentially uncomfortable conversations with your neighbors always require finesse. Conversation about rogue lawn care are no different.

Even if you've successfully run the course from spores to prothalli to mature sporophytes, you may have another obstacle to contend with""rogue" spores that have produced plants that you did not intend to grow.

Unique purple-red splotch pattern on green foliage. This plant is valued more for its highly unusual foliage patterns than its blooms. Be sure to rogue out solid green leaves and stems to keep variegation intact. Plant reaches about 4 feet tall.

Others- There is no shortage, when it comes to pumpkin varieties. If you haven't found just the right pumpkin for you, how about a red pumpkin? The most popular one is "Rogue D'Etant. Maybe you prefer a blue or a greenish grey color.

Just a few rogue weeds that survive to flower and reproduce, can undo a lot of your best efforts. You will have to keep working at it, until all of the weed seeds which are laying dormant in the soil have sprouted, and the resulting weed removed.
