Stress - a physical or chemical factor that causes extra exertion by plants: A stressed plant will not grow as well as a non-stressed plant.

Stress - Any factor that potentally hinders an organisms development and life cycle.

Don't Stress Your Lawn

Heat stress solutions

Obviously hot weather has adverse effects on plants, but what about the adverse effects on gardeners? Is human heat stress not of equal or greater importance?

Don't stress peeling them ahead of preparing because the skin can be very difficult to remove if the beets are uncooked, but they'll fall away just after they're cooked properly.

A deer in distress can jump an eight foot fence but it has to be fairly motivated. Deer in some places are known to jump over eight foot fences but for most regions eight feet is adequate to keep them out.
