The best way to store your tools when they're not in use is to hang them from a tool rack. To make a tool rack you will need to cut a 6' length of 2"X4" lumber. This will serve as the backing for your tool rack.

If gardening gadgets are taking over the home, look at some storage components, from storage benches, to shelves or tool racks. Outdoor models come in a variety of sizes from those big enough to hold a few tools, to those that can house a tractor.

You may place a tool rack nearer to the potting place so that it would be easier for you to transfer the soil from the pot of the plants. You can also place buckets and tool holders to accommodate the other equipment when they are not in use.

Even when rain is not in your forecast, tools left outside are exposed to moisture from wet grass and dew. Use hanging tool racks and pegboard to keep your tools organized and off the floor of your shed or garage.
