Adobo sauce may be used as a condiment or as a marinade. One popular recipe involves using chipotles in adobo sauce.

Adobo Sauce is a tangy sauce whose basic ingredients include vinegar, soy sauce, garlic, pepper and chiles. It is what tinned Chipotles invariably come packed in and is a national dish in the Philippines.
