Apple Butter
A condiment made basically from pureed apples combined with sugar, cinnamon, and vinegar.

Combine apple butter, sugar, mustard and nutmeg in a small bowl; stir well. Spread apple butter mixture under loosened skin and rub into the body cavity. Sprinkle bird with 1 teaspoon salt, 1 teaspoon black pepper and ground red pepper.

Introduce apple butter to your child at an early age. This is a free food, which substitutes surprisingly well for peanut butter in school lunches and in other social situations.
