Bammy bread is a Jamaican flatbread that uses the cassava root, what we might know more familiarly as tapioca, as the essential starch ingredient.

bammy = bammy bread = yucca cake Notes: Jamaicans love to butter these cakes and eat them with fish. Bammies are made of grated cassava, and often soaked in coconut milk before being fried.

Bammy: a pancake shaped, deep-fried cassava bread, which is aid to originate with the Arawaks Indians. Bammy is commonly served with fried fish.
Banadoura (Arab.): tomatoes.

Kikwanga: Congo name for disc-shaped bread made from cassava flour. The same bread in Jamaica is called Bammy and in the southern United States pan bread.
