Pancake pan
A small, shallow heavy-based frying pan with a diameter of no more than 20cm, used for cooking pancakes and omelettes.

Cake pans are generally made with one of three materials. Classic cake pans are made from metal, enamaled metal, or glass. Some manufacturers are also offering cake pans made out of silicone.

Cake pans, for baking layer and other kinds of cakes, may be round, square, or rectangular, or even shaped like a heart or other form.

Cake pan
Usually a round pan, preferably nonstick in a variety of sizes.
The 8 and 9-inch pans are the most common. Rectangular, square, springform, tube, fluted tube and Bundt pans are common versions of the cake pan.

Cake pans can include square pans, round pans, and specialty pans such as angel food cake pans and springform pans often used for baking cheesecake.

tube pan A tube pan is simply an old-fashioned angel food cake pan. A round high sided pan with a hollow center tube. The tube helps with more even baking in the center of the cake. Another version of this type of pan is the bundt pan.
