Canary melons are a large and brightly colored melon that is often slightly larger than cantaloupes or honeydew melons. The canary melon is grown in the southwestern United States, specifically Arizona and the southern portion of California.
Canary melon = Juan Canary melon Notes: These tend to vary in quality, so unless you're good at selecting melons, stick with more idiot-proof varieties like the honeydew or cantaloupe. Canaries should, at a minimum, have bright yellow rinds.
