Centigrade scale (C): the system of temperature measurement used in most countries, also called the Celsius scale.

 


Celsius scale: a scale for measuring temperature. On the Celsius scale, which is named for the Swedish astronomer that proposed it, pure water freezes at 0° and boils at 100°.

In most of the world (except for the United States, Jamaica, and a few other countries), the Celsius scale is used for most temperature measuring purposes.

Celsius Scale: The metric system of temperature measurement, with 0° C at the freezing point of water and 100° C at the boiling point of water.
Cheesecake: A sweet, cheese-based dessert normally the shape of a circle or pie.
