Definition: his Italian word means ‘little toasts‘. The thin slices of bread are toasted, drizzled with olive oil, and served warm.

To make crostini, many cooks use custom made loaves which make perfectly sized crostini. They can also be made from any type of Italian bread, such as ciabatta.

Meaning: Tapenade is a paste made of black olives, capers, anchovies, mustard, basil and parsley. You can use it on crostini or bruschetta, with pasta and in sauces, as a marinade for meat and also for adding to casseroles and stews.
