Crudités (pronounced crew-dee-tay) are sliced or whole small vegetables that may make up a first course of a meal, or are more commonly found as appetizers in banquet style eating.

Crudités
Raw vegetables, thinly sliced or grated, served as a starter or, with a dip, as a snack. Crudités include carrots, celeriac, cucumber, sweet peppers, red cabbage, celery, fennel, tomatoes, mushrooms and radishes.

Crudités are traditional French appetizers made up of sliced or whole raw vegetables which are dipped in a vinaigrette or another dipping sauce.

Not to be mistaken for crudités, fruitités are fresh fruit that's sliced and served with a dipping sauce. Arrange fruit on a serving platter with toothpicks to make it easy for your guests to grab them.

A French term for slices of raw vegetables such as peppers, celery and cucumber. Crudités are usually served with a dip such as salsa or houmous.
