Edible flowers
Since many flowers are grown with pesticides, it is only safe to use flowers you grow yourself or purchase from a qualified supplier like Earthy Delights at 1-800-367-4709.

Edible flowers can be a fun, delicious addition to nearly any type of dish. They can add to the presentation of your meal as a striking, unusual garnish, and many flowers lend interesting flavors to a recipe as well.

Edible flowers like Anise Hyssop, Carnation petals, Lavender, Rose petals and Violets will add complex floral or vegetative elements to mixed drinks.

Preparation method
For the rösti, preheat the oven to 180C/350F/Gas 4. Using a coarse grater, grate the pumpkin and potato into a large bowl.

The edible flowers of the zucchini bush are often eaten stuffed with a soft cheese, dipped in batter and fried. They are sometimes called courgette flowers and are available from selected greengrocers in summer.

Try tossing them in a salad of baby greens and edible flowers. When using borage flowers in a salad, be sure to add them on top at the last minute to avoid wilting and discoloration.

Small zucchini have a finer texture and flavor and tinier seeds than fully matured zucchini; these baby zucchini are sometimes sold with their edible flowers still attached.
