In the United Kingdom, it is part of several dishes, like "full English breakfast". A tomato sauce consisting of tomato ketchup, sugar, salt and vinegar, is most commonly used. Heinz is the leading brand.

It is a popular ingredient in a traditional English breakfast, but can also be included in a variety of dishes.

Kedgeree is a popular English breakfast based on an East Indian preparation of rice, lentils and onions, Anglicized in the 18th century with the addition of added flaked smoked fish, hard-cooked eggs, peas and cream sauce.

With a distinctive malty flavor and a bold and invigorating character, Assam tea is a particular favorite for use in breakfast teas. English Breakfast tea and Irish Breakfast tea are both examples of Assam tea.

They are ready cooked, but are intended to be eaten sliced and fried, and are often included as part of a mixed grill or a full English breakfast. They only keep a few days in the fridge, but can be frozen.

Bread-like items are popular breakfast foods during the workweek: bagels, muffins, scones, cereal or muësli, with a cup of tea or coffee. Weekends are when the so-called "big breakfast" or "English breakfast" is served where eggs take center ...

Potato scones are most commonly served fried in the local equivalent of the full English breakfast. The scone is a basic component of the cream tea. The griddle scone is a variety of the scone.
