Finely ground cereal, such as wheat, barley, oats, rye, rice and maize (corn). In Britain, the word 'flour' usually refers to flour produced from wheat.

Cornflour

Groats or rolled oats ground into flour.
Oat bran:
The outer layers of the oat kernel that are particularly high in soluble fiber; good added to baked goods.

Cornstarch - A white, powdery, thickening agent for sauces, puddings and gravies. One tablespoon is the equivalent of 2 tablespoons of flour in thickening power and makes a clearer sauce.

Rice Flour (Atta)
Also known as chapatti flour, is a finely milled, low gluten, soft textured, wholemeal wheat flour used for making Indian flatbreads, especially parathas and chapattis.

Atta flour - (also know as a chapatti flour) - whole wheat flour widely used for making unleavened flat breads.

Flour Shelf Life
