A frappé or frappe is a cold blended drink, which may contain different ingredients depending on the region where it is made.

 


Frappé - a drink whipped with ice to make a thick, frosty consistency.
Freeze - to subject food to a temperature below 32*F (0*C) so that the moisture in the food solidifies; used as a preservation method.

Frappé - Sweetened fruit juices frozen until semi-hard, then chilled.

Frappé (Fr.): usually refers to a drink served very cold or with ice, often shaken.
Frattaglie (It.): interior organs and minor parts, such as giblets, tail, marrow, heart, etc.

Greek frappé is a beverage derived from freeze dried instant coffee that is consumed cold. It is very popular in Greece especially during summer but also found in other countries.
