gnocchetti Pronunciation: nyo-KAY-tay Notes: This Italian pasta is made to look like gnocchi, the popular potato dumplings. To confuse matters, a larger version of gnocchetti is also called gnocchi. Both sizes are good with thick sauces.

 


gnocchetti - These are usually smaller than gnocchi.
gooseberry - A small green, grape-sized fruit that is still slightly tart even when ripe. Makes wonderful jams and jellies.

Similar to Gnocchetti and Rotini. Ciabatta Flattish slipper-shaped loaves of bread with a pale crisp crust that is made with olive oil, and flavored with fresh or dried herbs, olives, or sun dried tomatoes.

A Sardinian pasta that resembles gnocchetti but differs in that it is generally flavored with saffron. If not available substitute with gnocchetti or cavatelli.
