Graham cracker crusts are exceptionally easy to prepare. All that is required is a regular sized box of graham crackers, sugar, and butter.

graham cracker crumbs Equivalents: 14 crackers = 1 cup crumbs. Notes: These mildly sweet crumbs make a terrific cheesecake or pie crust. Look for the crumbs in baking supplies section, or buy whole graham crackers and crush them yourself.

Graham Cracker Crust
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. In a small bowl, combine 3/4 cup finely crushed graham crackers, 3 tablespoons canola oil, and 2 tablespoons sugar or sugar substitute* equivalent to 2 tablespoons sugar. Mix well.

Digestive biscuits: these British crackers are similar to American Graham crackers, only they're more crumbly and less sweet. They're often crushed into crumbs and used to make pie crusts.
Digestivo (It.): liqueur.

Combine the graham cracker crumbs, sugar and butter in a bowl and mix well. If it feels a little dry, add in a couple more tablespoons of butter -- the goal is for the graham cracker mixture to pack nicely without too many crumbs.
