Kumquat - A fruit which looks like a tiny orange. The rind is sweet and the flesh is tart. The fruit can be eaten rind and all, but it's most often found pickled, candied, in preserves or marmalade.

A kumquat is a fruit which resembles a miniature orange. It is sometimes mistaken for a citrus fruit, but actually belongs to the genus Fortunella. The kumquat, also spelled cumquat, has a thin, sweet skin with a tart, sour flesh.

Kumquat
Small citrus fruit originating in central China but now cultivated in the Far East, Australia and America. Kumquats can be eaten whole - including the skin - or used for pickling and preserves.

Kumquats are the smallest member of the citrus family. They look like tiny round or oval oranges. The entire fruit, skin and flesh is edible. The thin rind tastes sweet while the flesh has a tart flavor.

Kumquat - A very small citrus-like fruit (it actually isn't one although it looks and acts like one) with the unique quality of having a sweet skin and bitter flesh. These are used in pastry making, preserves and chutneys.
