This typically British spice mixture can be purchased ready-mixed, but some cooks prefer experimenting and emphasizing different flavours.
What Are Mixed Spices?
I have a recipe for chow-chow, or green tomato relish. It calls for allspice and mixed spices. I used to know what mixed spices were but I can't find the information. Can you tell me what the spices are?

Mixed Spice
A classic mixture generally containing caraway, allspice, coriander, cumin, nutmeg & ginger, although cinnamon & other
spices can be added. It is used with fruit & in cakes. (In America 'Pumpkin Pie Spice' is very similar).
