OKONOMIYAKI (egg based Japanese style pancakes)
Okonomiyaki literally means "cook what you like," and so there is no set recipe for these egg based pancakes.

 


okonomiyaki.. egg "pancakes" containing diced seafood, vegetables, or meat, that are grilled and topped with a savory sauce.
oshinko.. pickles ("fresh fragrence").
onigiri.. rice ball.

Okonomiyaki - Where each diner gets his or h er own small hibachi to individually prepared the meat as preferred.

Okonomiyaki A thick pancake usually served with meat or seafood. Onigiri A sticky rice ball often wrapped in Nori seaweed and filled with fish or pickled plum. Oshi Sushi Rice Sushi topped with fish. Made by pressing the rice with a box or mold.

It is sprinkled on okonomiyaki.
Ao noriko (Jap.): seasoning made from dried seaweed.
Aoyagi (Jap.): yellow round clam.
