2 tbsp pearl barley
Preparation method
Dust the rabbit pieces with seasoned flour, then shake off any excess. Heat the oil in a saucepan, add the rabbit and fry for 3-4 minutes on both sides, or until golden-brown all over. Remove and set aside.

 


pearl barley = pearled barley Notes: This is the most common form of barley, but not the most nutritious.

Pearl barley - De-husked barley grains, primarily used in soups.
Pearl onions - Tiny, marble-size onions that are difficult to peel but make a good side dish or addition to soups and stews. Frozen ones are easier to handle, but less flavorful.

If using pearl barley, lentils and beans, add them to the casserole at the same time as the other vegetables, unless using canned beans, which will need less time. Serve hot straight from the pan with baked potatoes.
