Plastic Wrap - a thin sheet of clear polymers such as polyvinyl chloride; clings to surfaces and is used to wrap foods for storage.

 


plastic wrap Notes: Plastic wrap is terrific for covering foods to be stored in the refrigerator or cooked in the microwave. It clings especially well to glass, ceramic, and china dishes.

Remove plastic wrap from dough. Flatten dough into 5- to 6-inch disc. Lightly flour surface and rolling pin. Using rolling pin, roll dough in short strokes starting in the middle of the disc rolling out toward the edge.

Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate until serving time.
Put the coriander seeds in a small, dry saucepan. Over medium heat, toast the seeds, stirring them continuously, just until they are fragrant, 1 to 2 minutes.

After removing the plastic wrapping, prepare the turkey by freeing the legs from tucked position and removing the neck and giblets from neck and body cavities. Rinse the turkey and drain well. Turn wings back to hold neck skin in place.

Wrap this in fancy plastic wrap and give it to the ones you love--or, just eat it yourself and enjoy.

I like to cover my mat with plastic wrap (Saran or whatever) so that I don't have to mess with cleaning it later. I use a long piece of plastic wrap so that it covers one side then the other and then the first side again.

Place the dough into a large oiled bowl, and cover it with a damp kitchen towel or a piece of oiled plastic wrap. Allow the dough to sit in a warm place for approximately one hour, until it has doubled in size.

Lay nori on a sushi mat lined with plastic wrap; with damp fingers, spread 1 cup of the Sushi Rice Filling over each sheet to within 1 inch of the edge at one end. Arrange desired fillings just below center of sheet.

Store ripe, fresh figs for two or three days on a plate covered with plastic wrap. Mold is the worst enemy of fresh figs, so keep them in a dry, cool area. If slightly under-ripe and firm, they will keep at room temperature for a day or so.
