Powdered sugar, also known as confectioners' or icing sugar, is a finely pulverized sugar that dissolves quickly and is often used to provide a thin, white decorative coating.

POWDERED SUGAR - Icing sugar or confectioner's sugar.
PREZZEMOLO - Parsley. The Italian version is the flat leafed variety which has a fresh, robust flavor. It is used throughout Italian cooking to flavor an unlimited number of savory dishes.

PREPARATION:
Preheat oven to 350°F. Combine flour, baking powder and salt in small bowl.
Combine chocolate and hot water in small heavy saucepan. Melt chocolate over low heat, stirring occasionally; set aside.

In large bowl, combine 2 cups flour, 1/3 cup of the sugar, undissolved yeast, lemon peel, cardamom and salt. Cut Ľ cup butter into pieces; heat cut-up butter, water and milk until warm (105-115° F.).

1. Heat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease cookie sheets with shortening.

Powdered sugar should not be used to replace powdered sugar, since it often contains cornstarch to keep it from clumping. Cornstarch may adversely impact a recipe, and it is better to use plain table sugar in this situation.

I would like to use powdered sugar substitute in my recipes, but I find it is usually sweeter. Is there a ratio of how much substitute to real one should use? Also, can most recipes take the substitute? There is a difference in texture.
