Radichetta grows as open heads or stalks of leaves that are loosely arranged around the base. A member of the chicory family, Asparagus Chicory is most often served for use in salads or as a cooked vegetable.
Two common alternate names for asparagus chicory are radichetta and catalogna, and the greens may sometimes be sold under these labels.
