Stir frying is a Chinese cooking China has one of the richest culinary heritages on Earth. Solid Chinese food is eaten with chopsticks and liquid with a wide, flat bottom spoon (usually ceramic).

Stir fry is an older cooking technique, most often seen in Asian cooking. However, it has gained popularity over the past 30 years or so, as its advantages of fast, healthy cooking have become apparent.

This stir fry recipe is a unique blend of flavors from the sweetness of the orange, chicken, ginger and red bell pepper to the spiciness of garlic to the earthiness of the basil and cabbage.

Stir Fry
To cook in a frying pan or wok over high heat in a small amount of fat, stirring constantly.
Sweat
To cook gently, usually in butter, a bit of oil, or the foods own juices to soften but not brown the food.

Stir fry
To toss, cook or saute in English, Chow in Chinese. Slices of vegetables, meats, or a combination are cooked quickly in the wok with a small amount of oil. Liquid may be added to make a sauce and cornstarch is used for thickening.

Stir turkey into stir-fried broccoli florets and red bell pepper strips. Add minced garlic, fresh ginger, soy sauce and a sprinkle of sesame oil.

Stir Fry Sauce Recipes
There are many different stir fry sauces you can use depending on what you are cooking. Some of the popular stir fry sauces include sweet and sour sauce, Teriyaki sauce, sesame dipping sauce, tentsuyu sauce and ponzu sauce.

Stir fry for a further minute, add the plums and stir to combine.
Add the vinegar and sugar and bring to the boil.
Cover and simmer for five minutes, or until the plums have softened.

Stir Fry: (1/4 inch; 5mm thick) 1 minute maximum
Kebabs: (1/2 inch; 1.5 cm cubes) 2 minute per side (leave space between cubes)
Medallions: Steaks (1 inch; 2.5cm thick) 2 to 3 minutes per side.

I like to stir fry the whole thing (leaves and entire stem) and serve them with noodles and/or eggs. Great in early spring as it emerges pretty early in the kitchen garden.
