Tandoori curry
Tandoori curry paste is a mild blend of paprika, lemon juice, garlic, onion and various spices blended with yoghurt and used as a marinade. Marinated meat is grilled in a tandoor (Indian clay oven) or over coals.

Tandoori: A style of charcoal cooking originating in northwest India. This was originally it was confined to chicken and lamb and naan bread. More recently it is applied to seafood.

Term: Tandoori
Meaning: A mixture of spices - ginger, cumin, coriander, paprika, turmeric, cayenne - that is used to give foods like chicken and fish a red-orange colour. They are then cooked in the 'tandoor' oven used in Indian cooking.

It is used for baking various Indian breads, tikkas and other tandoori items.
Tandoor sariyas: long iron rods, on which the food items are pierced and put in the tandoor for cooking.

The common ones are onion, mango and tandoori. There are dozens of others which rarely appear on the standard menu. Cinnamon. Dalchini. The quill-like dried bark of the cinnamon tree. It is one of the most aromatic spices.

"Tandoori Roti" is baked in a tandoor; "Rumali Roti" is thin, flaky, layered paratha. Saag Curry An aromatic curried dish made from greens (saag). Sabji A general Indian term to describe vegetables.
