Teapots are vessels used to brew tea in before pouring it into cups for individual consumption. Teapots may be used to brew black teas, herbal teas, green teas, or any number of specialty teas.

 


Loose tea is placed inside the infuser, which is then lowered into a teapot and boiling water is added. The tiny holes in the infuser allow the water to interact with the tea leaves.

A lovely tea can be made with 3 parts thyme and 1 part each rosemary and spearmint. Brew in a tightly closed teapot using 1 teaspoon tea to 1 cup water. Let steep for 10 minutes and serve hot.
