Argument

Arguments may be either valid or invalid. If an argument is valid, and its premises are true, the conclusion must be true: a valid argument cannot have true premises and a false conclusion.

Arguments for and against capitalism
Since there are so many divergent ideologies backing or fighting capitalism, there is no possible agreed upon argument list for or against it.

[edit] Argument from analogy
Argument from analogy is usually also a form of inductive reasoning. An argument from analogy has the following form: ...

Arguments for this include:
current census practices do not represent adequately the changing space-time dimensions of work and activity patterns; ...

Another argument in support of the DoD's proposal is that 12 years gives us plenty of time to enjoy a solid return on investment on our current equipment.

A major argument to accept the tool was: The possibility to replace notice boards in the area to keep the wilderness impression. This was the most convincing advantage.

2.Pass the arguments to a script (CGI).
After receiving requests the server will then:
1.Process the spatial analysis or Mapping request.

For the one argument form:
if(x) = NULL if x is NULL if(x) = 0 if x = 0 if(x) = 1 otherwise (i.e. x is neither NULL nor 0).
For the two argument form: ...

Regrettably, arguments in favor of Peters's projection are false, overstated, or fallacious. It does have severe shape distortion, and its distortion pattern greatly changes along a meridian (the Mercator projection has no local shape distortion).

The angle, or argument, of a complex number (x, y), is a mathematical version of its geographical azimuth: it is the angle formed between the ray from (0,0) to (x, y) and the ray from (0,0) to (1,0) ("due east"). It is sometimes written arg(x, y).

But this last argument will work equally well on any surface topologically equivalent to a sphere, so any such surface has total curvature .
Where's the beef?

The total correction for curvature and refraction (C&R) must be determined for each far-rod reading using the distance from the instrument to the far rod as the argument.

While this technical line of argument provides a solution that is satisfactory for students, it creates problems for the faculty assigned to teach them, particularly untenured faculty.

Null Hypothesis (H0) Is a hypothesis that has been suggested because it is believed to be true or because it is to be used as a starting point for scientific argument. Used in statistical testing to organize arguments.

While there is some credence in the argument that cloud computing is simply an extension of yesterday's buzzwords of object-oriented programming, interoperability, web-services and mash-ups, ...

Axiom Axioms of a theory are proposition which form the set of relationships (and are specific in terms of the direction of the relationships) and are assumed to be true as a basis for argument or inference [but may not be true in actuality] Examples ...

This text spells out in words the precise arguments or features that the map is intended to illustrate.

We recently succeeded in making the argument that the fee for storage at the records center should be increased. This fee was set for the first time in 1987, and has never been increased even though operating expenses go up annually.

Once the command is loaded, command arguments are displayed. If any of the command arguments are map layers, they will be displayed in a list from which you can select.

CGI typically specifies how to pass arguments to the program via HTTP requests; defines a set of environmental variables made available to the program; and generates output, usually in HTML format, that is passed back to the browser.

numerous projections have been invented, and arguments continue about which is best for which purposes
projections can be identified by the distortions which they avoid - in general a projection can belong to only one of these classes: ...

Nevertheless for each country to use its own projection would make international co-operation in data exchange difficult. There are strong arguments in favour of using an international standard projection for mapping.

Furthermore there is evidence to suggest that over the history of our planet the polarity of the magnetic field may have reversed over 25 times. This fact adds fuel to the argument that there is no up or down when considering north and south.

Spatial query is the comparison of XY coordinates of features/records with a user-defined spatial window (square, rectangle, circle, or multipoint polygon).
Logic query is a Boolean argument asking for various combinations of nongraphic attribute ...

HINT: No function matches the given name and argument types. You might need to add explicit type casts.
psql:states.sql:28: ERROR: current transaction is aborted, commands ignored until end of transaction block ...

This is a debate that raged in geography several years ago (Taylor and Johnston 1995, for an overview) and surfaced in archaeology as an argument against a return to positivism and environmental determinism (Wheatley 1993), ...
