Associated Data

GIS AssemblyAssociation

The LULC and associated data files are available in vector and raster formats on 9-track tapes or CD-ROMs. The raster format uses a cell size of 4 ha.

Many creative decisions are involved deciding what level of detail to include in the vector data, how to setup the associated data attributes, classify things, etc.

Associated data is stored along with objects in tables, the MapInfo equivalent of GIS coverages or layers. Attribute information can be in character or numeric form. Objects include points, polylines, and regions.

Many government datasets, although extensive in their geographic coverage and in the utility of the associated data, do not always have the most accurate or complete data, particularly in terms of positional accuracy.

A coverage stores a set of thematically associated data considered to be a unit. It usually represents a single layer, such as soils, streams, roads, or land use.

A measure of the degree to which a set of spatial features and their associated data values tend to be clustered together in space (positive spatial autocorrelation) or dispersed (negative spatial autocorrelation).

By using our split/merge utility, P&IDs and their associated data can be split out of a project for revisions off-line to support plant retrofit projects.

2. A set of thematically associated data considered as a unit. A coverage usually represents a single theme such as soils, streams, roads, or land use.

The same concern for copying and renaming data sources applies to archiving data. Make sure that all associated data files are archived, or when the archive is restored, not all necessary files will be present.

Time stamp - A date in a database, collected at the same time when its associated data are collected. Time stamp is important for database transactions which are time- or date sensitive, e.g.

The classes in 'geomorph_info' can be regarded as metadata which describes the associated data and encapsulate the translation mechanisms required to extract it from the GSD.

At level three, "full dynamic model-based design" is the standard, with the key word being `dynamic', meaning that when a model is updated, associated data, like cuts and fills, is also updated automatically.

The growth of infrastructure and its associated data services will be a significant feature of the precision GNSS landscape in 2008-2012.

Associated feature attribute tables describe and store attributes of the geographic features.
2. A set of thematically associated data considered as a unit. A coverage usually represents a single theme such as soils, streams, roads, or land use.

survey Orderly process of determining data relating to any physical or chemical characteristics of the Earth. The associated data obtained in a survey. An organization engaged in making a survey.
