The central point usually represents a geographic location while the length of each line represents an attribute value or ratio. The direction of the line may represent a compass direction, a period of time, or some other attribute classification.
Three-dimensional location (x, y, z) and one-dimensional time (t) are referenced to objects in attribute classes (att).
