attribute table - [data structures] A database or tabular file containing information about a set of geographic features, usually arranged so that each row represents a feature and each column represents one feature attribute.

A tabular file containing rows and columns. Descriptive attributes about some object, such as a geographic feature, are contained in each row. The same column in each row represents the same attribute.
Most GIS enable the user to view the data in tabular form without necessarily using map graphics at all. This is equivalent to using typical office spreadsheet software.
attribute tableAn INFO or other tabular file containing rows and columns. In ARC/INFO, attribute tables are associated with a class of geographic features, such as wells or roads. Each row represents a geographic feature.
Layer tables exist for every feature class (i.e., point, line, or polygon) layer added to a data frame.
If desired you can add the attribute table for each layer in your Web project. The table icon will be drawn right of the check box in the legend.
Arc Attribute Table (AAT) A table containing attributes for a line coverage such as streets or streams.
feature attribute table : A table used by ARC/INFO to store attribute information for a specific coverage feature class. Feature attribute tables supported include: Cover.PAT for polygons or points Cover.AAT for arcsCover.NAT for nodes Cover.
value attribute table (VAT) Value attribute table. A table containing attributes for a grid. In addition to user-defined attributes, the VAT contains the values assigned to cells in the grid and a count of the cells with those values.
Attribute table is only created if it is needed, i.e. when at least one attribute column is present in the input file besides geometry columns. The attribute column types have to be declared along with the geometry columns using the columns parameter.
Attribute table display - view and query the attributes associated with your data.
HTML online help - modern online help that's easy-to-use.
An attribute table is a table that contains information on the associated spatial feature(s) in a View.
The attribute tables can be sorted in ascending or descending alphanumeric order.
Sorting is done by activating a field in the attribute table and selecting the ascending or descending button.
The attribute table shows date and time in a user-friendly format, depending on your regional settings, rather than the underlying database's format. This is fine most of the time but also has a few drawbacks: ...
The attribute table for the section feature class in a coverage, containing the route number and arc number to which the section belongs, the starting and ending positions expressed as percentages of the arc length, ...
Feature attribute tables - Relational tables used to store attribute data associated with graphics data in a geographic database.

Try your hand at selecting various features form the map and seeing how each feature is linked to a row in the attribute table.
Inspect the attribute table. You should be able to guess which field describes highway type. Use the Query button to select all on-ramp features. (The expression is provided further below.) ...
To view the attribute table for this layer, right-click the layer and choose 'Open Attribute Table' or click the icon when the layer is selected.
Node Attribute Table. A table containing attributes for node coverage features. For each node, the NAT contains a reference to one of the arc it connects to, an internal node sequence number and node feature identifier.
Attribute Table - A database or tabular file containing information about a set of geographic features.
GPS (Global Positioning System) - A system of radio-emitting and -receiving satellites used for determining positions on the earth.
Record: In an attribute table this would consist of a single "row" of descriptors for one feature in contrast to an item or field or column which consists of a single attribute descriptor.
A data type referring to text columns in an attribute table (such as NAME). Choropleth A choropleth map portrays a statistical surface with area symbols (colours), which represent the collection regions, inferring uniformity within these units e.
Attributes can be viewed through the attribute table such as within a shapefile.
Attribute table - A table that is attached to a data layer that contains many characteristics of a feature on a map.
The feature attribute table of the GIS coverage defines the geographic properties of the L spatial units and gives each a unique identifying number.
A union overlay combines the geographic features and attribute tables of both inputs into a single new output. An intersect overlay defines the area where both inputs overlap and retains a set of attribute fields for each.
In digital form these spatial data have been linked to attribute tables that describe characteristics and conditions of the map features.
Associated attribute tables include detailed finds information which enable the development of artefact distribution patterns, incorporating those finds recovered by the metal detector users, and during the controlled excavations.
A single row of thematic characteristics in an attribute table.
A method used to display topographic variation in a landscape using the perspective shadowing resulting from a hypothetical position of a light source.
depending on how the temporal mode is captured, it may be included in a single attribute table, or be represented by series of attribute tables on the same objects through time

Route-system features and event handling commands provide the dynamic segmentation capability within GIS systems to dynamically locate events on linear features that are obtained from attribute tables of events for which distance measures are ...
Likewise, GIS users can now exercise total control over engineering units directly within ArcGIS' attribute tables, using the same FlexTables technology found in the easy-to-use stand-alone platform.
Step 8 Click the EXECUTE button. ArcExplorer searches the attribute table for all records that match your request.
Process of dynamically locating events along linear features straight from attribute tables in which attributes are recorded according to distance from a start point. The ability to translate data collection in linear (milepost) measures into: ...
Attribute Information about a geographic feature in a GIS (computer record), generally stored in a table and linked to the feature by a unique identifier. Attribute tables for individual or multiple features can be accessed with the Identify, Search, ...
Each table contains information relevant to a particular feature, and is linked to other tables by a common value. For example, two attribute tables could be linked to a spatial data table via a geocode, such as the postcode.
Tabular data describing the geographic characteristics of map features. Can include numbers, text, images, and CAD drawings about features. ARC/INFO stores descriptive data in feature attribute tables and in related tables.
In a coverage, features are stored as both primary features (points, arcs, polygons) and secondary features (tics, links, annotation). Feature attributes are described and stored independently in feature attribute tables.
