Calibration of the Model
The value of a model's predictions is only as good as the model's ability to be effectively calibrated.

Calibration
Flexibly determine optimal values for any combination of the model parameters such as pipe roughness, junction demands and link (pipes and valves) operational status, that best match the real-life situation in your hydraulic system.

The NGS facility was built to serve traditional NGS constituents such as the surveying and geodesy communities; however, calibration services are open and available to all GNSS users as the calibration schedule permits.

Calibration: In vector mapping, the adjustment of the digitizing tablet so that a location on the manual map corresponds to the location of the cursor within the display of the spatial database.

Calibration refers to establishing a consistent scale from 1 (most preferred) to 9 (least preferred) for rating each map layer used in the solution. Figure 3 shows the result for the four decision criteria used in the routing example.

calibrationThe process of choosing attribute values and computational parameters so that a model properly represents the real-world situation being analyzed.

calibration
The comparison of the accuracy of an instrument's measurements to a known standard.

ANTENNA-SWAP CALIBRATION

DOQ production begins with an aerial photograph and requires four elements: (1) at least three ground positions that can be identified within the photograph; (2) camera calibration specifications, such as focal length; ...

On this screen you should enter the fiducial or reseau photo-coordinates as given in the camera calibration report. The X, and Y coordinates are in milli-meters from the principle point.

rectification - The process of eliminating photo scale variations and relief displacement. In digital image processing, it also refers to correcting for geometric distortions, radiometric calibrations, and noise removal.

The main difficulty associated with these investigations is to properly deal with the many limitations of these instruments, especially in the early period (sensor calibration, orbital drift, limited spectral and directional sampling, etc).
