[data capture] A method of drawing a polygon as a series of straight line segments defined as a set of directional codes, with each code following the last like links in a chain.

 


Two other methods of graphic input are polar coordinates and Freeman Chain code. Within a polar coordinate system points are defined using the angle from the origin and the distance from the center.
