Chroma The saturation or intensity of a colour. Different chroma of the same hue are know as tints, e.g. pale point, solid point. It can be expressed as a percentage of the total area inked.
Saturation or chroma, is the relative purity of the colour on a scale from grey to its most vibrant tone. Brightness or lightness refers to the amount of light energy creating the colour.
In addition, the site offers a large number of the impressive enhanced (ETM) Landsat product which includes the 15m pan chromatic band, effectively doubling the maximum resolution of the images produced.
All features have unique reflectance characteristics. This is useful when identifying features represented within any type of image (pan chromatic, remotely sensed, or radar). Reflectance values can be easily imported into a GIS.
