COGO
[coordinate geometry (COGO)] Acronym for coordinate geometry. A method for calculating coordinate points from surveyed bearings, distances, and angles.

COGO: Abbreviation for the term COordinate GeOmetry. Land surveyors use COGO functions to enter survey data, to calculate precise locations and boundaries, to define curves, and so on.

COGO - Change the Point of Beginning
The COGO dialog now has a new icon command: ...

COGO is an abbreviation for coordinate geometry, a method of data input and analysis similar in principle to metes-and-bounds surveying.

COGO See coordinate geometry.
Column A vertical field in a relational database management system data file. It may store one to many bytes of information.

COGO - Acronym for Coordinate Geometry achieved via a computer program.
Computer-aided Design or Drafting (CAD) - A group of computer software packages for creating graphic documents.

COGO (Coordinate Geomerty)
A set of procedures for encoding and manipulating bearings, distances and angles of survey data into a graphic representation. It is also a frequently a subsystem of a GIS.

Example COGO input:

P24 S 04:18:56 E 230

The first column may contain a label and you must use the -l flag so the program knows.

COGO in Survey Analyst complements the flexibility of the advanced editing tools with the control of a structured coordinate management system.

COGO composite measurement
In Survey Analyst for field measurements, measurements that comprise a set of interdependent COGO simple measurements.

COGO - Coordinate Geometry: A set of procedures for encoding and manipulating bearings, distances and angles of survey data into co-ordinate data. COGO is frequently a subsystem of GIS.

COGO See coordinate geometry. Colour composite In remote sensing, a colour image composed of three bands projected in the red, point and green guns. Column A vertical field in a relational database management system data file.

Work with coordinate geometry (COGO) tools that use survey records. Track the history of all parcel edits.
Use least squares adjustment to incrementally update your parcel fabric with each new survey plan.

Coordinate Geometry (COGO) A method of defining geometric features through the input of bearing and distance measurements.

coordinate geometry (COGO) This refers to a data conversion process in which a digital map is constructed from written descriptions, such as legal descriptions of land parcel boundaries.

Survey data can be directly entered into a GIS from digital data collection systems on survey instruments using a technique called Coordinate Geometry (COGO).

Coordinate geometry - The methods used to construct graphics mathematically in engineering design. It is usually referred to as COGO.

Coordinate system - A system used to register and measure horizontal and vertical distances on a map.
