EPS file is a kind of postscript file that can be read in Adobe Acrobat Reader or some graphics/image processing tools, such as Corel Draw or Ghostview. The users can convert .eps files into .gif files by using Corel Draw or Ghostview.

Prints map on lpr printer or postscript device; saves visible map display (including postscript text and labels) to PDF or EPS file. Requires ghostscript for all output except EPS.

From the Export window, choose File type: PostScript (EPS).
Navigate to your home directory by typing: $HOME and pressing in the File Name blank.

The result of the AML script is a 7'' by 9'' road map in encapsulated post script (EPS) format. The EPS file is then converted into GIF format using the Image Tools package.

In Map View, choose File > Export. Under 'Save as type:' select Encapsulated PostScript (EPS) .eps and save the file with a meaningful name.
The geometry of your map polygons and class colors will all be saved in this file.
