esker -- n. A ridge of glacial sediment deposited by a stream flowing in and under a melting glacier.

 


esker A winding ridge of stratified drift . Forms in a glacial tunnel and, when ice melts, stands as ridge up to 15 m high and kilometers in length.

Esker:
A long winding ridge of sorted sands and gravel. Thought to be formed from sediment deposited by a stream flowing within or beneath a glacier.
Eustatic Sea Level Change:
A rise or fall in sea level that affects the entire earth.

Outwash sand/gravel from front of glaciers, found on a plain Kettles block of stagnant ice leaves a depression or pit Eskers steep sided ridges of gravel/sand, ...
