Moraine:
The rocks and soil carried and deposited by a glacier. An "end moraine," either a ridge or low hill running perpendicular to the direction of ice movement, forms at the end of a glacier when the ice is melting.

Stadial Moraine See recessional moraine. Stage The elevation of the water surface in a stream channel. Standard Atmospheric Pressure A pressure of 101.32 kilopascals or 1013.2 millibars.

Medial Moraine:
A streak of till in the center of a glacier. These are found downslope from the junction of two glaciers and are a merging of their lateral moraine deposits.
