OMG The Object Management Group is a computing industry collaboration to promote object-oriented interoperability among heterogeneous computing environments.

 


" Common Object Request Broker Architecture (CORBA) The basic distributed object scheme developed by the Object Management Group (OMG), a consortium similar to OGC but focused on object technology instead of distributed geoprocessing.

Object Management Group (OMG) has defined metadata format for representing entire existing applications for the purposes of software mining, software modernization and software assurance.

It includes the OMG Object Request B roker(ORB) layer for the transparent n etwork-level access. Thus SDBC server s are CORBA object implementations reg istered in the ORB, and the ORB direct s the client requests to these servers .

Secondly, similar attempts in general information technology, such as the CORBA (Common Objet Request Broker Architecture) of the OMG (Object Management Group) (Linthicum 1997) or the OLE/COM of Microsoft.
