CMAC is raster scanning the separates at 400 dpi using a CONTEX FS-8000 large format scanner (B/W). Raster to Vector conversion is performed using the R2V software.
Heads-up digitizing: This is similar to the manual digitization, but the raster scanned data is imported and laid below the vector data to be traced on the computer screen itself.
Pixels are stored "upside-down" with respect to normal image raster scan order, starting in the lower left corner, going from left to right, and then row by row from the bottom to the top of the image.
