Resample a Raster to Another Coordinate System
It is now possible to resample a raster in another Coordinate System using the Save As command when Bentley Descartes is loaded.

"resample"
changing cell size, orientation, portion of raster to analyze
change colors ...

[blue].Float.Resample(1.6, #GRID_RESTYPE_CUBIC)
The float request, which converts grids to floating point, is applied before the Resample request, because ArcView executes requests left to right.

Increase the cell size and resample data in a raster format GIS. Generating Globe The conceptual globe from which map projections can be devloped. Geographic Data The composite locations and descriptions of geographic entities.

Resampled images are "coarse" and have less information than the images from which they are taken. Conversely, this process can also be executed in the reverse.

co-ordinate assignment: here the image is resampled
In our institute, the ITC, a frequently used GIS package is ILWIS, developed in house.

Example: In our example there is little conversion required, bur we will plan to clip out pieces of the apropriate layers so that they can be used locally (rather than on the server) and we will resample them to an apropriate cell size.

The raw elevation data was resampled to the model grid using an unweighted mean.

This apparent similarity is due to the need to resample the TM images for TV monitor displays (which are not high resolution systems capable of reproducing all TM pixels) by dropping some pixels.

These images have been resampled to fit accurately onto a ground coordinate grid with very high pixel resolution--usually 1 or 2 m; they may be used with a GIS in combination with other kinds of cartographic data.

Generalize 1. Reduce the number of points, or vertices, used to represent a line.
2. Increase the cell size and resample data in a raster format GIS.
Geographic Data The composite locations and descriptions of geographic entities.

[ESRI software] An ArcGIS geoprocessing option that snaps, or aligns, all layers to the cell registration of a specified raster. All layers will share the lower left corner and cell size of the specified raster. Snap extent is used to resample layers ...

Nearest neighbor assignment does not change any of the values of cells from the input layer; for this reason it is often used to resample categorical or integer data (for example, land use, soil, or forest type), or radiometric values, ...

Powerful Image Processing: Vertical and horizontal flip, transpose, rotate, remove dark background, edge detection, image resample, crop a region, smoothing, segmentation, image mosaic, fusion, warping, and negate.

If digital orthophotos are produced at a finer sampling distance than 1 or 2 meters, they may be processed by resampling to 1 or 2 meter horizontal GSD. Digital orthophotos produced at a coarser sample distances are not resampled to a finer ...
