to-node

[data capture] Of an arc's two endpoints, the last one digitized. From- and to-nodes give an arc left and right sides and, therefore, direction.

to-nodeOf an arc's two endpoints, the one last digitized. See also from-node.
topographic map1. A map containing contours indicating lines of equal surface elevation (relief), often referred to as topo maps.

For example, the topology of an arc includes its from- and to-nodes, and its left and right polygons.

Arc/node topology is a data structure which makes use of arcs (the polygons to the left and right of an arc) and the nodes (the from-nodes and to-nodes of an arc) to define the relationships between neighboring polygons and connecting line features.

connectivity The topological identification of connected arcs by recording the from- and to-node for each arc. Arcs that share a common node are connected. See also arc-node topology. constraints Limits imposed on a model.
