Definition: "Attack wedge" is another name for "gap wedge." An attack wedge fits between the pitching wedge and sand wedge is a golfer's set of clubs. See gap wedge for more.

attack To play with purpose and aggressively.
attend the flag To hold and then remove the flag while another player putts.
away The ball that is the greatest distance from the hole when more than one golfer is playing. It is the first to be played.

Attack: To play with purpose and aggressively.
Attend: When putting, a partner may "attend" by removing the flagstick while you putt. This is usually done when you are at a distance so the ball does not hit the flagstick and bounce out of the hole.

Angle of Approach (or Attack) A term that describes the relative angle which the clubhead approaches the ball at impact which, in turn, helps determine the distance and trajectory which the ball travels.
