Balata: Is sap from a tropical tree, which was formally used for the manufacture of golf ball covers.

 


baffing spoon (also "baffie, baffy") archaic term for an approach wood or lofted wood
Example: She knocked it stiff with a baffing spoon/baffie/baffy.

bail out: You hit the shot, for example, well to the right to avoid trouble on the left.
balata: Sap from the tropical tree, used to make covers for balls.
