Center of Gravity/Center of Mass: The point in an object around which the weight and mass are balanced.

Center of Gravity: That point in the human body, in the pelvic area, where the body's weight and mass are equally balanced. (Ian Woosnam has a lower center of gravity than the much-taller Nick Faldo).

Low Center of Gravity
A method of weighting a club head to re-position the weight lower in the head to produce better lift and contact momentum.

CENTER OF GRAVITY
The Center of Gravity is the value which indicates how the weight is distributed in a club head. A low Center of Gravity - COG or CG - means that most of the weight is distibuted to the back of the head near the ground.

Center of Gravity (Cg)
The point in a club head at which all of the points of balance intersect. CG is often mistakenly referred to as the "sweet spot." The lower the CG of a club, the higher the ball flight.

The Changing Center of Gravity
The human body by about age 10 is just great at balance.

Due to its low center of gravity, the hybrid gives you the forgiveness of a wood and a higher ball flight with the control and playability of an iron.

Center of gravity - the point where weight is evenly distributed in all directions throughout the club head
Charge - To come from behind and play great or to play aggressively.

Make it a low cg (center of gravity)
Most amateurs agree that woods are easier to hit than long irons, which has fueled the recent trend toward replacing long irons with fairway woods.

forgiveness. Based on years of experimentation and study, the process for determining MPF for irons is based on specific mass and dimensional qualities of the ironhead itself. The three basic properties are: 1) the basic vertical center of gravity ...

If you are off balance and have a poor center of gravity a consistent and accurate throw will be very difficult to achieve without compensating in other ways.

His head stays still and his body moves, but the center of gravity remains in the same place, constant.

The wider stance will lower your center of gravity and will help you to make what is probably the most important move when it comes to long-distance driving-an extra low, extra long takeaway.

Because your center of gravity is now closer to the ball, you force your downswing to adjust for the new center of gravity, and if the right amount of adjustment isn't made before you impact the golf ball, ...

A small metal piece used to balance a metalwood clubhead and pinpoint the center of gravity. It is cast in varying weights 2 to 24 grams and welded into the inside of a clubhead to lower and strategically position the center of gravity.

The lower and deeper center of gravity of the wood heads will tend to hit the ball higher and are easier to hit.
But the shorter lengths of the hybrids should be easier to hit on center and with more control.

The core is where the body's center of gravity is located and where force production begins. Most people have a very weak core, and as a result, chronic posture problems. Over time, this creates wear and tear on the body.

Pure : A shot struck perfectly on the center of gravity of the club. Generally feels very good to the player making the shot. Example: There's nothing like hitting it pure especially off of the first tee.

Center of gravity is pushed back and away from the face creating a higher MOI when compared to traditionally shaped iron heads. Higher MOI allows for straighter longer golf shots even on off center hits.

It is cast in varying weights 2 to 24 grams and welded into the inside of a clubhead to lower and strategically position the center of gravity. This optimizes trajectory and enhances distance control.

The trend for the average golfer is toward oversize woods made from steel or titanium. A light, graphite shaft with a head weighted at the sole lowers the center of gravity and makes for a smoother follow through.

Carts will roll on steep hills given the suspension and its high-center of gravity. Operate a cart and/or pass golfers while they are in the process of making a shot.

(also "dub") when the bottom of the club contacts the ball above its center of gravity and the ball immediately hits the ground 2. the end of the backswing (where the hands are at their highest)
Example: Nobody likes to top the ball. 2.
