Many golfers see a golf hole as tee to green and forget its tee to cup. They plan out where to place a drive, and a 2nd shot on a par 5.

Green: The culmination of a golf hole, where the flagstick and cup are located and where a golfer will "putt out" to end the hole. A ball is in the green when any part of it is touching the green.

A low, running shot that stops even with the cup (if not in!) should be visualized. The key is your set-up position.

A good drill to do is to putt 3 balls approximately 2 feet from the cup on the practice putting green. Make sure the putt is generally flat. Line up the putter head to the perfect line and commit that it is
perfectly lined up.

Green The area that surrounds the hole (cup). It is the most manicured part of the golf course. Handicap A handicap is used to make players of different calibers equal. After playing the same course ten times, the course can assign you a handicap.

Do not spend so much time in studying the nature of the ground between the cup and yourself or where you must drop the ball or anything of that sort. Look at the flag and gage the distance and then hit your ball to go that distance.

Bend over to get your ball from the cup (18 times). So how are you feeling now, after bending over 130 times? Try this... don't pick up that tee, putt until you've holed it (without marking), forget the wind.

When lining up breaking putts, pros will always favor the "high" side of the hole rather than the " low" side.
