Dead-eye putting is consistent, reliable, and accurate. Use the dominant eye to sight from behind the ball. Match the plane of vision with the vertical plane of the putt by a square setup with proper orientation of head and eyes.

 


The Dead Shot

When playing golf, there are some days that no matter what you try, you can't get your upper and lower body to work in sync.

dead ball-- A ball is said to be dead when there is no doubt that it will be sank on the next shot
deep-faced-- A clubface which is fairly thick from top to bottom.
deuce-- A score of two strokes on a hole.

Dead
TV-broadcaster slang for a shot in which there is no favourable outcome possible. Variations include "Get the body bags!" A favourite of Gary McCord.

DEAD - when a golf ball lands and does not roll.
DEFENDER - a fun interesting golf game for a threesome where each golfer plays "defender" against the other two for every third hole.

Dead: When there is no possible way out of the shot!
Deep: A high clubface from top to bottom.
Deuce: A score of two on a given hole.

Dead Hands: A shot in which the hands remain relatively passive in the hitting area, resulting in a shot that flies a shorter distance than it normally would. (He dead-handed a 5-iron on the par 3, which confused his fellow players).

(3) "TAKE DEAD AIM"
I have noticed that many shots that are hit to the right or left and blamed on some fault of the swing are nothing more than poor alignment.
In order to hit the ball at a target you must line up correctly.

This is one of the key areas where golfers fail with their practice-they're brain dead! How they use a drill is a perfect example of brain dead. They mistakenly think that the relation is this: drill influences, or shapes, golf swing.

When hitting golf balls try to keep your head up and the spine rotating level and not up and down. Remember, you really don't want to keep your head dead still in the swing, but it can't move up and down and be successful.
